Joseph Dollens Photography
Joseph's photographic philosophy centers on capturing portraits and images that reflect the subjects essence. His preferred medium is black & white and his preferred subjects are people. Joseph strives to distill the core of individuals, emphasizing emotion, contrast, and shape. Through his lens, he conveys a myriad lifestyles and daily rituals of people from every corner of the globe. Among the photographers who’s styles he most emulates are Ansel Adams for his sublime landscapes, Dorothea Lange for her ability to capture the human struggle and Yousef Karsh for his uncanny ability to connect visually with his subjects.
